And compared to our top YouTube competitors, our subscriber count is microscopic.
But that’s what I love about YouTube and Business Consulting.
Anyone and everyone has the opportunity to entertain, engage, and rank their videos fast.
So in this post, I’m going to show you exactly how to rank YouTube videos, from start to finish and how to utilize Digital Marketing Agency Services to their fullest capacity.
What Tools Does Your Business Need With SEO And Digital Marketing Services?
With Ahrefs, the SEO tool that helps you grow your search traffic, research your competitors and dominate your niche.
Now there’s a lot to video SEO, so rather than trying to dip into every single traffic source in YouTube analytics, I’ll be focusing on ranking in YouTube search and sprinkle a few tips to rank your videos on Google too.
Let’s get started.
First, what is YouTube SEO and Video Marketing?
It’s the process of optimizing your videos, playlists, and channel to rank high in YouTube’s organic search results for a given search query.
YouTube explains their discovery and search ranking algorithm in two sentences.
“Videos are ranked based on a variety of factors including how well the title, description, and video content match the viewer’s query.
” So there are three important points here.
First, keywords matter in your title and description.
Second, you need to match the search intent fora viewer’s query.
And third, you need to drive engagement fora query in order to rank on YouTube.
But of all these things, the key point to effective video SEO is creating high-engagement videos.
So if you can’t engage your audience, your chances of ranking your YouTube videos for a meaningful keyword will be slim to none.
So the first step is to do YouTube keyword research. A Top Digital Marketing Agency will provide you with these kinds of strategies to surely push your business to the top of the search engine results pages.
Unlike traditional Google search engine optimization, YouTube doesn’t have an official keyword research tool.
And a lot of these third party tools are just pumping out arbitrary numbers from Google Keyword Planner.
But there are ways you can get estimated search volumes.
The first is to use YouTube suggest paired with Google Trends.
Just type a keyword into the search bar, and you’ll see a list of relevant queries that contain your keyword.
You can also add a star before or after your target keyword, which will act as a “wildcard.
” Now, since we don’t have an official tool to see search volumes, we can throw a few of YouTube suggestions into Google Trends.
But remember, Google Trends uses “relativepopularity” to compare keywords.
So take these estimates with a grain of salt.
The second way to get keyword volumes is to use Ahrefs’ Keywords Explorer.
Recently, we’ve released our latest version ofKeywords Explorer, which includes search volumes and metrics for search engines like Google, YouTube, Bing, Amazon, Baidu, and more.
Just select YouTube as the search engine and enter a keyword or a list of keywords.
Right away, you’ll see country-specific search volumes, clicks data, global search volumes, and have access to five keyword idea reports.
You can also enter a list of up to 10,000keywords you want to analyze.
The best way to get a list of keywords is to use TubeBuddy or VidIQ’s Chrome extension.
Just run a search in YouTube, and look to the right sidebar.
You’ll see VidIQ’s “Related Queries,” or TubeBuddy’s”Most Used Tags” sections.
Just choose all relevant keywords you want to analyze, click the Copy button, and paste your list into Keywords Explorer.
We’ll then show you all keywords that haveYouTube search volume according to our database.
Now, search volumes are great and all, but the power of Keywords Explorer is in generating new keyword ideas.
Let’s say you want to start a channel on makeup tutorials.
Just type “makeup” into Keywords Explorer.
And I’ll also include a couple common variations like make-up and make up.
Then go to the Phrase match report, which lists all keywords in our database that contain your seed keywords.
And you’ll see over 202,000 keyword ideas! Let’s narrow in on some more focused topics.
So I’ll click on the “include” dropdown and type in a list of related keywords like eye, face, halloween, wedding, and bridal.
Finally, choose the “Any word” tab, which will show us all keywords that contain any of these keywords.
And we have over 17,000 relevant topics to create videos on.
Bottom line: there is no shortage of great keyword ideas to grow your business with a digital marketing agency.

Now, YouTube search is great and all, but why not maximize your views by ranking your videos on Google too? Don’t think it’s that important? Think again.
Google search is one of our top external traffic sources and sent us over 7,400 views in the past 28 days.
Also, a study done by GetSTAT shows that VideoSERP features increased by around 75% in 2017 for their sample list of keywords.
Now in 2019, it’s tough to browse Google for more than ten minutes without seeing a video result.
There are a few ways to find videos that get search traffic from Google.
The first is to search for your target keyword.
If you see a video carousel or another videoSERP feature, then you have an opportunity to rank in that position too.
Pay attention to video length and titles to get an idea of what Google wants to show.
The second way is to use Content Explorer, which lets you search for any word or phrase and get all relevant pages with their SEO and social metrics.
To find YouTube videos that are ranking inGoogle, I’ll search for: site:youtube.
Com in url: watch title:unboxing, assuming that’s the topic I wanted to search for.
Then, I’ll sort the result by search traffic and you can immediately see the estimated amount of Google search traffic these videos get each month, as well as the titles, descriptions, and social stats.
Once you find a video that interests you, click on the Details button, and then the Organic keywords tab where you can see all of the keywords and the ranking position for the video on Google.
Looking into both Google and YouTube search lets you double-dip your traffic sources and get more views to your videos.
Alright, step 2 is to identify search intent.
Search intent (or keyword intent) refers to the reason why a user searches for a query in a search engine.
Now, search engines are usually good at doing this for you.
Just search for the keyword you want to rank for in YouTube and analyze the content and angle of the top 3 results.
For example, if you want to teach people how to make a website, then you would probably give them a step-by-step tutorial.
But what if you want to rank for “NintendoSwitch games?” YouTube will tell you that people want to see a “listicle-type” video.
Now, let’s say that you’re a florist and you want to rank for “viola.
” Bad idea.
All of the results show that someone searching for this term wants to know about the instrument.
Not the plant or the actress.
Let’s move on to step 3, which is the most important.
And that’s to satisfy search intent with a high-retention video.
YouTube says that their goals are to help viewers find the videos they want to watch and maximize long-term viewer engagement and satisfaction.
And if you’re matching the reason for a user’s query, then your chance of having higher watch times for the video increases.
Here are the exact steps we take to create high-retention videos.
First and foremost, plan your videos before you create them.
If you’re creating how-to videos, the last thing you want to do is stumble over your words or show sloppy demonstrations.
Proper planning helps keep your ideas on point and gives you the advantage of intentionally including keywords within your video, which people believe YouTube uses in their ranking algorithm.
Second, you need to start with a strong hook.
The first 10-15 seconds are critical for your video’s success.
Hook your readers, and you’ll have audience retention graphs that look like this.
Forego the hook and lose the majority of your viewers before you even get a chance to deliver value.
Every niche is different and unfortunately, there isn’t one formula that works for everyone.
Being in the how-to and informational space for a B2B audience, I like to start off with stats or proof so that’s worth your time to keep watching.
Like in this video on YouTube SEO, I started off by showing you how we rank in the top 3 for a lot of competitive keywords.
I also showed you that our search traffic grew by almost 400%.
And most importantly, I tell you that I’m going to show you the exact steps we used so you can try and replicate our results.
Drop-offs in the first 15 seconds is inevitable.
But you can minimize the damage by connecting with your audience’s reason for watching and showing that you have a solution to that problem.
Third, you need to edit your videos strategically.
For every single video we create, our focus isn’t to impress you with cool tricks.
We care about engagement.
So rather than getting into a full-out editing tutorial, I’ll leave you with a few power tips.
First, use jump cuts.
A jump cut is a transition between two shots from the same position.
It creates the effect of the scene “jumping,”hence, the name, “jump cut.
” These add dynamics to a video and help polish mistakes.
Second, draw your audience’s attention to what you want them to see.
Pay attention for a second.
If you’ve never used our Site Explorer tool before, and I say something like: “Click on the Linked domains report.
” Did you see it? Probably not.
But I could easily draw your eyes to the linked domains report by doing this, this, this, or even this.
The effects don’t need to be fancy, but they should help your audience follow along to avoid drop-offs due to confusion.
The last tip is to entertain with stories or narratives.
YouTube is an entertainment platform.
But entertaining isn’t easy.
So while our primary focus is to teach SEO and marketing, we do our best to make it somewhat entertaining without trying too hard.
If you’ve watched up to here, then you’ve probably seen some examples, so I won’t go deeper into that.

Alright, step 3 is to do on-page video optimization.
On-page optimizations for YouTube boils down to 4 things: We have the Title, Description, Tags, and Thumbnail.
Each of these help provide context to your video and/or will influence your bottomline: click-through-rates.
After all, no clicks = no views.
Here are a few best practices to craft searchable and clickable videos, according to YouTube.
Tip 1 is to use your keyword in the title.
YouTube suggests using the most relevant search terms in your titles and descriptions as long as they’re accurate and not excessive.
A study from Briggs by also shows that more than 90% of top ranking videos included at least part of a target keyword in their title.
While it seems important to include at least partial matches of your target keyword in your title, you don’t want to sacrifice the”click-worthiness” of it.
Tip 2 is to keep your titles under 60 characters.
YouTube recommends keeping your titles concise with the most important information up front.
From an SEO perspective, that will often mean using your target keyword near the beginning of your title.
For example, our target keyword for this video is YouTube SEO.
And you’ll see that we added the phrase right at the beginning.
Keeping your titles short will also prevent losing clicks from truncation in search, suggested, and browse features.
Tip 3 is to write catchy titles that evoke curiosity or highlight a benefit.
If you were to create a tutorial on tying a tie, a keyword rich title might be, “how to tie a tie.
” But that’s uninteresting at best.
There are numerous angles you could take like:How to tie a tie with the “007 technique;” How to tie a tie in 11 seconds flat;My 3-year old teaches you how to tie a tie.
The point is that boring titles are less likely to stand out in a competitive landscape.
Tip 4 is to create a thumbnail that complements your title.
In my opinion, this is the hardest part to execute consistently.
Here’s the thumbnail for our SEO mistakes video.
The thumbnail text describes the video since91% is the majority.
And if you look closely, there’s a picture of Google’s page numbers with the third part circled stating, “You are here.
” You can also draw inspiration from things around you and use your image to speak undeniable truths like our video, “How long does it take to rank on Google.
” And if you’re stuck, try and get ideas fromGoogle images or stock photos.
For example, I searched for the word “system” in AdobeStock, and was inspired by this image.
So I used the idea to create our thumbnail for our link building system video but cooler.
The next video optimization tip is to write searchable descriptions.
YouTube says using the “right” keywords can boost views and watch time because they help your videos show up in search results.
But what are “the right” keywords? For starters, we include our target keyword in both the title and description.
But we also include related keywords by analyzing the descriptions of the top ranking videos.
Just type in the keyword you want to rank for, then look through the description for keywords that have relevance to your topic.
For example, this video uses language like”free traffic” and talks about traffic in the context of a blog.
Another phrase used is “increase website traffic.
” These might be keywords that I want to include within my description or other closely related keywords where my video matches the content.
Next up are Tags and Business Consulting.
And tags are another way to give context to your video, which can help you rank in YouTube search and suggested.
YouTube simplifies this by recommending to add keywords and phrases that are most descriptive of your video.
You can also use tools like VidIQ or TubeBuddy to see the tags for competing videos in the sidebar.
Look for common tags within competing videos, and add them to your video when it makes sense to do so.
And as an extra measure, I’ll normally copy all of the tags from the top ranking videos, and paste them into Ahrefs’ Keywords Explore to see the search volumes on these tags.
Step 4 are In-Video Optimizations.
Creating the video is 80% of the battle.
There are additional optimizations you can do to increase retention rate and create a better user experience for your viewers.
The first thing is to add subtitles or closed captions.
Many creators, including myself, believe thatYouTube reads closed captions to better understand the context of videos.
How To Grow Your Digital Marketing Agency (...My Top 7 Strategies)
And chances are, your viewers come from allover the world with a different native tongue.
So it’s worth using a transcription service or if your videos are scripted, just go to the CC tab of your video, select your language, and create your closed captions file.
To give you an idea, around 17% of our viewers use our English subtitles when watching our videos.
The second thing to do is to add cards to your video.
These are an interactive feature that encourages viewers to take one of these 5 actions.
Just select the timecode where you want the card to trigger, select the type of card you want to use, choose an appropriate option, and you’re all set.
Now, when a viewer hits that timecode, the title of the video will slide in as a suggestion.
Finally, use end screens.
End screens are similar to cards.
The purpose is to keep viewers on the YouTube platform.
For our channel, we have a Subscribe button as well as a suggested video the viewer should watch next.
This can help you get more subscribers, keep viewers consuming your content, and increase one of the metrics YouTube uses in their ranking algorithm, session time.
I’ll expand on this in a bit.
For now, let’s move on to step 5, which is to publish and promote your video.
The first 24-48 hours from publishing can make or break your video.
So you need to promote your video as hard as you can right away.
Here are some rapid-fire tips to do that.
First, promote to your existing audience.
At Ahrefs, we publish at around 8:00 AM Eastern time on Wednesdays.
We then use an in app alert to notify our customers about a new piece of content we created.
At noon, we tweet out our video link, which sends us more viewers directly to our video.
And of course, we send an email news letter to our blog about 24 hours after the video was live.
Now, if you don’t have an existing audience ,a few things you can do are to post on relevant niche forums like Quora.
Just search for the topic of your video, provide a helpful answer and include your video in the mix.
You can also post on other platforms likeReddit, Facebook, or wherever.
The point is that you need to get involved where your audience hangs out.
Last but not least is to use YouTube ads.
Right now, from our experience, YouTube ads are super cheap.
You can target by interest, keyword, or custom audiences.
If you have a great video, set up some search ads based on your target keyword with the intention to earn their subscription.
As your subscriber base grows, they’ll begin to get notified with your future videos and help accelerate your growth without breaking the bank.
Youtube SEO Tips for Photographers
The last and final step is to optimize your videos for session watch time.
Session watch time is the total time a viewer watches videos on YouTube without leaving the platform.
YouTube said in its Creator Blog: “We’ve started adjusting the ranking of videos in YouTube search to reward engaging videos that keep viewers watching.
As with previous optimizations to our discovery features, this should benefit your channel if your videos drive more viewing time acrossYouTube” Here are a few more ways to improve session time.
First, create series.
Think of series like #AskGaryVee or 490 episodes of Casey Neistat’s Vlog.
Series hook people and if they like what they see, they keep watching, which increases your total session watch time.
We’ve created 3 series in total.
One on keyword research, another on link building, and a shorter one on WordPress SEO.
The first two were made to educate our customers, while the WordPress SEO series was meant to rank.
And rank we did.
To encourage viewers to watch the next video in the series, add it as an end screen or add a card to the next video near the end.
This will make it easy for viewers to find the next video in your series.
Now, the next part is where the magic happens.
And that’s to turn your playlist into series playlists.
A playlist is a list of videos that plays in the order they’re set.
Whereas a series playlist is everything I just said, but it’s also a creator’s way to tell YouTube that your group of videos is an “official” list of videos.
Think of how Netflix does it with seasons and episodes of your favorite show.
They’re in a specific order and skipping a couple episodes probably wouldn’t be a good idea.
Using series playlists helps YouTube understand order and increases your chances of claiming the “up next” spot.
If you’ve done the card, end screen, and series playlist, you now have 3 places where your next video will be recommended to viewers.
The last and final tip to boost your videoSEO is to use my channel page hack.
Your channel page will likely be one of your most visited pages so it’s worth optimizing.
Here’s how the channel page hack works.
If you look at our channel, the first 4 video sin this stripe look kind of random.
But they are not.
Each of these videos is the first series in one of the 3 series we have on our channel.
And the only reason the fourth video is in the same series as this video is because we don’t have a fourth series.
Now, since all of these videos are separate series playlists, look what happens when I click on them.
The up next video is always the next video in the series.
So no matter which video you click, it heightens our chances of getting viewers to keep watching videos on our channel.
While YouTube doesn’t have a “session watch time” metric in their analytics, I’m a strong believer that my channel playlist hack contributed to our massive increase in overall watch time since the day I added it.
YouTube SEO from a technical perspective is easy.
Optimize your titles, descriptions, and tags.
Then add relevant cards, end screens or description links and you’re good to go.
But the most challenging part of video SEO is engaging your audience.
So take these processes and tips and focus your attention on these 3 things: entertain, engage, and rank.

click option a my site is live and ready to be indexed this isjust letting Google search engine and search engines take your information foryour site and get it indexed in the search engines so it can be found so I'mgonna click the option a because my site is live could always come back in hereand change things too so don't worry what does this site represent is it ablog and online shop a news channel a small off offline business I'm gonnaclick a small offline business because that's what we aredoes your suburbs and a person or a company this is a company so pick thatthe name of your company I'm just gonna put abbreviations L I P B Long Islandphotobooths you could also choose an image I'm not gonna choose an image butfor your business you can do that choose an image now you can put in all of yourURLs for your business your Facebook Twitter Instagram right I'm not going todo that because I want to sit here and take up all that time doing that but itis a good thing to do so once you do that then you would just click Next heresearch engines should show post in search results definitely because we'regonna be blogging search engines should show pages of course search engines soportfolios yes if we have portfolio search engine should show staff why nottestimonials you ask products why not feeds sure I leave it all these on yesdepending on what you don't want to be shown if you don't want staff if youdidn't want your products page you could say no but why not you want that stuffbeing found does or will your site have multiple authors if you have a lot ofpeople writing and blogging you would click yes this only has one author sowe're gonna click no and hit next here we have to get Googleauthorization code so that we can verify this we're gonna click on this righthere get Google authorization code so once you get taken over sign into Googlesign in to the business Gmail where you can get the authorization code you'regoing to copy it just by clicking here and you can paste it in here and thenclick authenticate done authenticating it's going to come to this page and it'sjust explaining you know what's going on here and that they're connecting thisfor the health of your site it shows you your website right here you want to makesure that you're on this right here the site that you're on for your yourWordPress and then you're just gonna click Next ofphotobooth now this is a photo booth rental website so a blog post that wecreated was on the cost of photo booths the average cost of a photo boothbecause we know people are searching for that and I think we're on page 4 rightnow I believe page 5 actually and it's good that's that's not perfect rankingsbut at least we're index right now so that's the first sign Google index to usand what that means is we're actually popping up in the search engine we'renot on page 1 which where we want to be and I'll show you how Yoast can help youdo that on the on page but I want you just to look at what my title my URLstructure and description is so my title is right herethe average cost of photo booth rentals here's my URL right and then this is theblog post URL and then here is my description this is what's popping up asmy description so keep that in mind these are three important things foryour on page and what Yoast is gonna help us optimize now another thing Iwanted to show you because I was just showing you the dash symbol the pipesymbol and I said I'd like to use the pipe symbol and when you use the pipesymbol and you set up the wizard you're gonna get a pipe just like this you knowit says photo booth rental pipe symbol San Francisco so what I'm going to donow is because I chose the pipe symbol and then Li PB member I chose my websitename as Li PB right here website name Li PB and and other things you can do but youdon't need to I'm just gonna click Next and you've done it now we're at 12success everything's set up in the wizard I'm going to click close and nowwhat we're going to do is I'm going to show you now that Yoast is completelyset up and the wizard setup you got that done that's what you should have donenow on your WordPress site you installed and activated Yoast youconfigured the wizard that's all set up now you want to actually optimize a blogpost or a page on your site I'm gonna show you how to do that we're gonnaoptimize a blog post I already have a post on here so if you don't have a postyou would just click add new but I'm gonna go to all my posts and I'm justgonna choose a blog post and we'll pick that average cost of photobooth once andthey already show that the average cost let me just click Edit this so that itwould pop up now when you go and click to post a new page or a new post blogpost this is all going to be empty so there's gonna be no image there's goingto be no title here's your title right here's your image that you could put youput your images through here there's gonna be no content in here no texts noblog text right at set up and what'sgreat about this is it's going to give us some data that we can make sure we'reusing this correctly and that we're optimizing our blog post or our pages tothe best capabilities and the first thing you want to be aware of is thetitle the slug or the URL of your post or page and the meta description so ifwe click right here once you come down to yours click Edit snippet and what'sgreat about this is it allows you to choose the title you want for your blogor your page it allows you to choose the slug this is the URL that you want foryour page and then the meta description this allows you to choose what you wantthe meta description to be so I'm gonna jump back over to Google and show youagain remember I showed you here was our title here is our slug or URL and thenhere is our meta description now what I like to do and everyone has theirdifferent theories but what I like to do is I'd like to make sure that thekeyword term the important term that I'm trying to rank for and get indexed inGoogle is in my title it's in my slug or URL and then it'salso within my beginning on my description now you seeit's not in my description right here so I want to fix that so what I would do isand the keyword I'm going for is average cost of photo booth let's say I pushthis blog post to page one for average cost of photo booth now what I want todo is get in front of the people that are typing that in and as you can seeI'm using something called the keywords everywhere extension so it's showing me140 people a month type in average cost of photo booth or terms around thatright so and if you're unaware of what this is don't worry in my other videohow to get organic website traffic I go over that so just look up that side I'llactually link it above or put it down in the description but that will explainhow I'm looking at how much traffic is getting searching on this term so I wantto take this from page five I want to be on page one for this term and get someof that traffic so I got to fix a couple things so I know I want my keyword to beaverage cost of photo booths so I want to start I'll start it off withsomething enticing looking for incredible deals or the average cost ofphoto booths we have top photo booth rentals within the local area just lookat what people are saying about us what we got to see here too is we don't wantto go too long you notice how this changes colors it turned orange orange Ilike to keep it in the green so let's see what green is so we could just saylook what people are saying yeah we'll keep it like that you see how this staysin the green that's good we want it to be in the green because if you go toolong it starts to turn orange and then if you go away too long it will actuallystart turning red and stuff you don't want to be in that area stay in thegreen because this is what's gonna fit inside of the search engine this is thatone when you're in the green this is what people going to see this is theamount of words and characters you see you could only see so much you're notgonna see everything so now we know that this is going to fit in there and whatdid I do I got my main keyword in there so I'm good with that what youwould do is you'd write a nice article and you could write that you know if youif somebody's writing for you you could have them just send you the article in aword doc or if they're putting it and sharing it in Google Drive and you'rejust gonna copy and paste it in here we already have a blog article but what wewant to do next is once we copy paste our blog article in here once we set ourtitle with the keyword in it that we want once we know our slug is good andoptimized once our meta description has our keyword in and it's optimized wecould come down here and open this up and it's going to tell us our problemsand what's good and what's not good so what's good is there's internal linksgood job Meta Description length well done because we're in the green textlength the text contains 1,500 see nine words good it's nice long text so that'sgood we like long-form content problem key for it key word phrase key phraselength no focus key phrase was set for this page oh so right here the focus keyphrase let's actually add that in there average cost a photobooth that's inthere and what we would want to do come up here once you do that sometimes whenyou update things you have to update it here just so that it calculates downbelow sometimes it takes that so now justupdated and we want to come back here to focus keyword phrase let's see so itsays your key phrase or its cinnamons do not appear in the first paragraph thisis something actually I like to do too I do like to put my key phrase in thefirst paragraph so you know what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna come up here I'mgonna take my keyword phrase I could make that sound probably better but forthis demo I'm not gonna sit here and go on and on but you see now I have the thekeyword in the first paragraph so now what I'm gonna do now just gonna clickupdate and see if they give me a better grade on that so what's really coolabout the Yoast SEO we're able to force and set the title the slug which is theURL we want to put the keyword in the URL or a variation of the keyword inthere and we can also set the Meta Description like I showed you before andnow we're going through and they're taking the focused keyword that we setwhich is the average cause of photobooth because we know we want to rank for thatin Google get index we're ready index more on pagefive so I'm just trying to get better and stronger on page so yo sessio willgo through and give me the green things that I'm correcting you see so let's seethis key phrase density it's too low the key phrase was found three timesthey want me to put the key phrase in there more than onceme personally I still get great results not having the key phrase stuffed all inthere they probably want me to get to 0.
5% sofor their example let's do that okay so I added that word again let's see whatwe get now key word for a densities 0.
3 they probably want to see it again wellyou got to realize I also use variations that they don't really talk about inhere a variation could be also prices of average photo booth rentals right that'sanother way of saying my main keyword and I'll sprinkle those type of termsthroughout my content but for this sake if you want to make it green we have toadd the keyword two more times in the content so let's do that I added thekeyword in my content a little more just to get the green light right here youcould say key phrase density 0.
5% this is great I personally don't mind beingaround three or four percent to be honest with you depending on how long mypiece of content is again I like to write long form pieces of content thatmakes sense that are very informative and the more you do that the better youare with actually providing quality content the better and I just feel likeyou don't have to overstuff the key word but for the sake I just wanted to showyou get the green light by putting your keyword and working it in there where itmakes sense for this demo I just threw it in there a few times so that it's inthere but again make sure it makes sense where you're placing the keyword so wedid that that's good SEO title okay so it's telling me the titles too short sopretty much it is saying that the title is too short the average cause of photobooth rentals for your next party okay now it's green you see that it was tooshort so I updated that remember I gotta come up here update let's get back toYoast and let's check on this now so we have a lot of green lights going on nowgood outbound links have no outbound links it says okay so I need a linkthat's outbound I do have links that are linking to inter pages but I need linksthey're outbound okay let's do that quickall right let's link out to our review page on let's say maybe Google or Googlebusiness page or maybe let maybe Yelp or one of our social platforms so we'regonna take this Facebook page and link out to here with the word reviews sopeople go over there and read our reviews so there's gonna be an outboundlink because it's not staying on the site we're out pounding that link overto Facebook and that's done let's go see how we go with our score now okayoutbound links good job key phrase in title the exact match of the key phraseappears in the SEO title but not at the beginning try to move it in thebeginning again this is something that I don't mind if it's not an exact bigbeginning if you want it to be in the beginning you want to get a green lightjust move it to the beginning and the SEO title remember you're going to editsnippet in the Yoast and you can move it so if I just move this with you knowthat but you know what me I don't mind that I'm leaving and how it is but ifyou want a green move it to the beginning key phrase and metadescription omit meta description has been specified but it does not containthe key phrase fix that well it does consider it because they're just seeingbecause it's probably an S on the end I put average cost of photo booths so it'sprobably not realizing that but I know Google will understand that so I'm notgonna change that but if I changed it like that average cost a photo booth itprobably would update and think that it's in there if I went and updated thisbut I'm leaving it like that so you understand remember your titles optimizeyour slug is optimized description title everything is optimized we have a lot ofgreen lights so this is the power though of the Yoast SEO plugin it's allowing usto understand desire does our content have everything optimized correctly didwe set our title did we set our description did we set our slug andthese are the three main important things right here another thing youcould do is you know you might want to write your blog post or your pageoptimize it and then you might want to share it on facebook or Twitter so if you go over to these three bars right here social youcan set up you say I set it up this is gonna be the title Facebook title forwhen you when you share it a little description and then you can also uploadan image and what you want to make sure is that the image is a certain sizeright here 1200 by 630 this way when you share this blog post on Facebook or youcould also set up for Twitter right here we did when you share it on Twitter it'sgonna have a nice image on Twitter the key word in the title explaining in alittle description and they click over to your blog post so that's how you usethe Yoast SEO plug-in remember when we first started and I showed you where thesite is on page 5 for our main keyword average cost of photo booth we fix somethings you know you saw the all the red lights that were on in our blog post cuzwe just use this as a demo site we just publish content there's differenttutorials we use this for and this site is still getting decent amount oftargeted local traffic and it's making money but I just wanted to show you howto use the Yoast SEO when you're even doing blog post or other pages you wantto make sure that these things are set up because the Yoast SEO is going tofeed Google the right information saying hey we want to be found for average costof photo booths we have a page on it or a blog post on it it's in our MetaDescription it's within throughout our content we're optimized for itwe have it in our title right all of the three main things title URL or slug anddescription are good and then the rest of the green lights you make sure andyou should get indexed at least by Google the other thing is reallydepending on the competitiveness of the term that doesn't mean you're gonna goto page one that's just on page SEO you want to go pay to page one there's a lotof other things you need to do like get traffic get branded traffic get socialshares coming in and get powerful links linking back to your website I go in onthat and other tutorials you could find more of my videos down below orthroughout my youtube channel on more of those topics of getting targeted trafficand organic traffic that covers that more but at least we went over again
